Eau de Parfum or eau de toilette
Questions and answers about perfume
The big and important difference between the different terms for a perfume is not only the price, but also the fragrance concentration. In addition to the well -known Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette, there is also the Extrait perfume and the Eau de Cologne.
Extrait perfume
The Extrait perfume is the most intense form of perfume. As a rule, it has between 15 and 30 percent fragrance oil content. As a “intense”, it can even have up to 40 percent.
Since it is very intensive and long -lasting, you should deal with it very economically. With this type of perfume you should always avoid sparingly. 1-2 splashes are sufficient
Eau de Parfum (EDP)
Here, too, the proportion of fragrance concentrate is very high, about 10 to 14 percent. At the Eau de Parfum there is also the Intense variation, here it is up to 20 percent fragrance concentrate. The real Eau de Parfum is still easy to smell after days. Since the concentration is also very high here, you should only use a little. 2-3 splashes are sufficient
Eau de toilette (edt)
The Eau de Toilette is the lighter form of perfumes, with 6 to 9 percent it has a rather lower fragrance concentrate. The fragrance is much more fleeting and not intrusive. Perfect for business and nice summer days if you only want something easy. 3-4 splashes are sufficient
Eau de Cologne (EDC)
This is the lightest form of perfumes. The Eau de Cologne was originally created as a refreshing water. With the fragrance content of 3 to 5 percent, this variant is extremely light and fleeting. For this you can often apply them a day.
Where should I upgrade the perfume?
Important: It is not the fragrance itself that is crucial, but where you spray it. Because the full aroma only unfolds a men's perfume on well-supplied and warm body regions. The body heat activates the fragrances so that the fragrance can spread more intensively.
The neck and wrist are ideal for this. But you can also give some splashes on the hair, especially if they are a little longer. This gradually gives the fragrance off. The breast is therefore a less suitable place for spraying the perfume. There is also a solution for men with sensitivities: just spray on your pocket cloth, your tie or scarf.
How does the scent of the perfume stay longer?
It is best to apply perfume to the places where the blood circulates the most, the fragrance molecules develop best. If a little petroleum jelly or odorless body lotion is applied to these places in front of it, the perfume lasts even longer. The fragrance also unfolds on warm skin, i.e. after showering.
